We have explained on this research blog that money is clearly not necessary for exchanges and common well being through the Ages .... We consider the invention of money as a need to offer a GUARANTEE of payment for people who could not produce goods and who could not be involved in the barter process (i think about people working for the States).
The monetary system based on different precious metal has had clearly a major impact to increase the level of exchanges internationaly and diversify them. But why money has been, from 600 BC until the last decades, a monopol of each state ???
one of the main reason seems THE PROFIT !!!
The financial value of a coin in circulation has always been HIGHER than the intrinsic value of the metal, even for the greeks 2000 years ago .... It includes the fees for minting and a kind of tax ...
The tax on the monopol to create the legal tool of payment could be a clear fiscal profit for the States ... and the origin of the interest rates in the modern financial world. When people needed to pay taxes in their country, they paid an amount above the intrinsic value of their coins .... So people were always in need of new coins, new supply of precious metal..
With Fiat Currency and Credit, the system is the same .... The interest rates create a move for always new credits and an increase of the money supply ....

Le Milliard perdu ....... ou le "Franc fou""
En 1986 et 1987, l apparition et la demonetisation rapide des pieces de 10 francs Jimenez et Schuman nous amene a nous interroger sur le processus de creation des monnaies ....
Le 10 francs type Mathieu, trop souvent la cible des faussaires, devait etre remplace .... Mais pourquoi donc elaborer une piece trop semblable a la 1/2 franc Semeuse et surtout ..... comment est il possible de repeter la meme erreur avec la 10 francs Schuman .... dont les presque 10 millions d exemplaires frappees ne furent pas mis en circulation.
l Etat a fait frapper puis a demonetise en l espace d un an pour pres d UN MILLIARD DE FRANCS EN PIECES ...

Monnaies internationales VS ..... MONNAIE UNIQUE
Les numismates sont, par nature, passionnés par les monnaies , ces marques ultimes de la vie sociale.
Le débat sur l Euro agite les esprits actuellement. Que peuvent dire les numismates ??? Laisser les financiers évoquer la monnaie est une mauvaise idée, puisqu ils ignorent beaucoup de ce concept.
Les changes entre les monnaies nationales étaient ils un obstacle a la croissance economique ??? Force est de constater que NON.
On peut comprendre cette assertion du point de vue d un Financier qui n observe que les jeux d ecriture sur ces bilans, et qui sait qu une monnaie ne repose que sur .... UNE CAPACITE D EMPRUNT !!! (soit par l epargne et l orthodoxie budgetaire, soit par la dette abusive)
Pour lui, l unité d une zone monetaire, c est une plus forte capacité d emprunt et moins de complications sur les changes .....
Mais croire que rassembler des pays hétérogenes sous la meme devise était judicieux est ignorer le fait HUMAIN .... N importe quel entrepreneur est avide de chercher a l étranger des fournisseurs moins chers, des produits nouveaux ou des idees innovantes ..... le Taux de change peut etre a l avantage de l epargnant qui ouvrira un compte dans une autre devise, et des deux parties puisque dans un cas, il y a captation de capitaux et que dans l autre, il y a benefice par rapport a sa propre devise.
Sans droit fiscal commun, sans union bancaire, sans mise a niveau de la productivité ...... L Euro accentue les inégalités et n est pas viable. L Euro n est pas la cause des problemes socio economique actuels en Europe , il les a juste HYPERTROPHIE....

Only because the precious assets are often HOARDED, when people are anxious about the upcoming social events ..... A hoarded money supply has not anymore a monetary use because money must circulate.
