The appearance of public debt is closely related with the States or the Kingdoms which were out of their initial missions : THE COMMON WELL BEING ..... bccause of a wish to make wars or promises of welfare.
Few centuries ago, It was a great opportunity for merchants to fund States ou Kingdoms .....!!!!
ON THIS WAY, THE WEALTHY PEOPLE WON A FIGHT AGAINST THE COMMON INTEREST ....... AND A CONTROL OF OUR LIVES.
Let try to write an Uchronia .... How States and Kingdoms could find new funds, out of their inner resources, without debts and unsustainable loans ???
By creating a parallel monetary system : if physical gold or silver are money, any tangible assets can be a good collateral !!!!
Tokens could be created from any tangible assets.
Roman emperors debased the silver denarius, POTUS debased the USD ...... Why this attitude ???
Because debt is control !!!!!
